Board Positions Available
This is a notice of the Tigersharks Swim Club Annual Meeting to be held Monday, September 22, 2025 at 6:30pm at the Dodge Middle School Choir Room,(Room 150). For the continued success of the Tigersharks swim program, our Board works throughout the year with the coaches to create the best experience possible for your swimmer. The agenda of the meeting includes reviewing the prior year swim successes, upcoming activities, financial status of the club, and electing officers to three vacant board positions. All board positions are for a term of two years.

We have 3 board positions that will be vacant beginning in September. Below are the descriptions of each position and duties that are assigned. Please email the current President, Derrick DeWilde (president@tigersharksswimclub.com) if you are willing to fill one of the vacancies. The board cannot run without these positions filled!
President (Position currently held by Derrick Dewilde). This position is described in the club bylaws as follows: The President shall be the chief officer of the organization and shall, under the supervision and direction of the Board of Directors, carry out all orders and resolutions of the Board of Directors. The President shall have such other powers and duties as the Board of Directors may from time to time prescribe. The President shall: (a) have general active management of the business of the corporation; (b) when present, preside at meetings of the Board of Directors; (c) see that orders and resolutions of the Board of Directors are carried into effect; (d) sign and deliver in the name of the corporation deeds, mortgages, bonds, contracts, or other instruments pertaining to the business of the corporation, except in cases in which the authority to sign and deliver is required by law to be exercised by another person or is expressly delegated by the Articles of Incorporation or Bylaws or by the Board of Directors to another officer or agent of the corporation; and (e) perform such other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the Board of Directors.
Secretary (Position currently held by Danielle Korver). This position is described in the club bylaws as follows: It shall be the duty of the Secretary to: (a) maintain records of and, when necessary, certify proceedings of the Board of Directors; (b) maintain records of meetings of the Members; (c) when directed to do so, give proper notice of meetings of the Board of Directors; (d) perform the duties of the President in the absence of the President and Vice President; and (e) perform such other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the Board of Directors or by the President.
Meet Coordinator, Member at Large (Position currently held by Molly Dols). This position requires coordination of all home meets. The meet coordinator shall fulfill the following duties : coordinate volunteer positions for all home meets, work with awards if applicable, coordinate with concession and hospitality hosts, and attend monthly board meetings. Dates for upcoming meets are as follows; November 14 - 16 2025, January 2-4 2026 and May 15-17 2026. Although meets are usually held on just two days, prep work is needed the day prior.
